Hamid Amini (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) works in the Wildlife Bureau of Department of Environment of Iran as senior ornithologist since 1989. He studied the Genetic diversity of Birds of Prey (Family; Falconidae) in Iran using molecular techniques as his master thesis.

He is the national Coordinator of International Waterbird Census in Iran, national delegate for Wetlands International, focal Point and member of Lesser White Fronted Goose International Working Group.
