Dr. Shahzad Ali is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife and Ecology, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. 

He got M.Sc, M. Phil. and Ph.D. Degrees in Zoology from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. His research work is related to Wildlife Epidemiology, Zoonotic Diseases, Microbial Diversity and Ecology, Genomics and Molecular Evolution.

His research work related to Glanders, Influenza virus (Wildlife), Newcastle disease (Wildlife) and Aeromonas sp (Wildlife) is published in international and national peer reviewed journals. His is now working on wildlife conservation using diseases ecology, and genomics.
